Director of Pharmacy

Job Requisition: REQ2724 Employment Type: Full-Time Shift: Day Hours Per Week: 40 Hours Hiring Range : $124,446.40- $171,412.80The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.Responsibilities: Directs the development and implementation of practices, policies and procedures in all functional areas of the department. Accountable for department staffing and capacity planning. Oversees the development, monitoring of and compliance with departmental budget(s). Utilizes broad knowledge of applicable statutory, regulatory and administrative requirements to direct departmental operations and ensures accountability for the department's compliance. Develops and maintains effective, collaborative relationships with all site leadership, specialties, departments including other specialty managers, associates and related vendors. Implements specialty quality initiatives in the areas of patient safety, the Joint Commission, specialty accreditation, and performance improvement. Participates in the development and administration of both long-term and annual capital plans which include facilities, systems and equipment. Implements and monitors compliance with revenue integrity processes.Complexity of Work: Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.Personal Protective Equipment: Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Minimum Qualifications Licensure / Certification / Registration: Required Credential(s): Pharmacist credentialed from the New York Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Education: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy required. Master's degree preferred.
