The Environmental Health Educator primarily delivers US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Lead Renovation, Repair, & Painting (RRP) Initial and Refresher trainings in counties in and around the greater Capital Region. The educator assists with other environmental health programs as needed or assigned (e.g., radon, mold, indoor air quality, healthy homes, etc.). This position also coordinates assigned trainings including tracking, preparing, and submitting all required documentation for assigned programs.
This position works primarily out of the CCE Albany’s Voorheesville, NY office, but most trainings are conducted throughout the program region. The educator works as part of a flexible team - performing existing or new responsibilities which can change based on Association needs, new grant initiatives, etc.

This position is full-time, 37.5 hours/week. Compensation is paid at the rate of $23.61 per hour and includes 21 Vacation days, 14 Holidays, 3 Personal days and 12 Sick days annually. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and experience relevant to the role of the position. Preferred qualifications: Demonstrated experience, education, or training in teaching workers or adults. Demonstrated experience, education, or training in lead abatement, painting, carpentry, renovation, remodeling, occupational safety and health, or industrial hygiene.
An Associate’s degree plus 2 years related experience may substitute for a Bachelor’s degree.
