GENERAL SUMMARY OF THE POSITION: Small Construction company in Mechanicville, New York is looking for a responsible self-motivated Mechanic with experience. Full time work, hours are 7:00 am -4:00 pm Monday - Friday, with some Saturdays as needed. Mechanic to perform repairs of company trucks and equipment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS includes the following:
Maintaining and repairing all types of truck and heavy equipment in the fleet.
Diagnose equipment, create plan of action, make repairs.
Order, purchase and maintain inventory for necessary equipment parts.
Maintain garage, tools, equipment and parts in a clean, neat, organized manner.
(ranging from Ford 250's to International Dumps,smaller engines like skid steer, track hoes and jumping jacks)
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
You must have a valid drivers licence
Should be experienced in Gas, Diesel, Hydraulics and general type repairs.
Equipment and small engine repair experience
Experience managing a garage a plus.
