Job Title: Machine Operator: MONDAY THRU THURSDAY 6:00 AM TO 4:30 PM
Full-time team member to support a second generation, family owned and operated manufacturer of Italian specialty foods.
Responsibilities including but not limited to:
Set-up production machines daily according to established procedures
Take out 200 lbs. of finish dough from mixer and put on dough table
Cut and put pieces of dough into sheeter, continuously so sheeter doesn’t run out.
Operates production machines to produce products in accordance with established standards and guidelines
Be able to lift 30 lbs. of ricotta cheese and cut open to put into cheese mixers.
Be willing to do different jobs daily.
Operate machine controls in an efficient manner to minimize waste
Inspect finished product for quality and report defects immediately to supervisor
Identify and report machine malfunctions promptly to supervisor
Oversee the mixing of raw material ingredients to recipe specifications
Maintain production logs
Responsible for cleaning tasks including but not limited to covering, scraping, washing and disinfecting machinery
Must follow guidelines and workplace rules
Basic Qualifications:
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age or older
High school, GED or equivalent diploma
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds or more
Requires the ability to stand for several hours at a time
Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
Effectively take directions from supervisor and discuss workflow with team members
Prior manufacturing experience is preferred but not required; will provide training
