Part-time team member to support a second generation, family owned and operated manufacturer of Italian specialty foods. Hours: Monday - Thursday 7:00 am to 1:30 pm, Friday 7:00 am To 11:00 am
Responsibilities including but not limited to:
Assist the warehouse manager with loading/unloading trucks
Assist the warehouse manager with storing products, boxes and film in proper locations
Review customer order sheets and identify full cases of perishable and frozen products from warehouse refrigerator and/or freezer
Carefully open, wrap and transition product from pallets to shelving located inside a refrigerator and/or freezer
Validate the correct product has been selected and is damage free
Carefully and efficiently pack perishable products into boxes
Seal boxes and label appropriately
Keep records of packing slips, receiving notes and purchase orders
Take weekly inventory of products
Ensure work area is clean including but not limited to sweeping, cleaning and organizing loading docks, floors, freezers and raw material areas
Sometimes will be asked to stay until 4:30 pm Monday – Thursday, if warehouse manager is out sick or must leave early.
Basic Qualifications:
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age or older
High school, GED or equivalent diploma
Must be able to lift and carry merchandise weighing 15-45 pounds frequently throughout a shift and occasionally up to 50 pounds
Requires the ability to work in various temperature zones throughout the warehouse
Ability to operate a forklift and a pallet jack is preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; will be on the move for entire shift
Must be organized, pay attention to detail, and exhibit effective communication skills
