Job Summary - Roofer
Mid-State Industries is seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for removing, installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on commercial buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of various roofing materials and techniques, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Attention to detail and a commitment to safety are essential for success in this position.
Duties
Install roofing systems using materials such as EPDM, TPO, Built Up, Asphalt Cold Process, Fluid Applied, Shingle, Slate, Tiles, Metal.
Perform repairs on existing roofs, including patching leaks and replacing damaged materials.
Conduct inspections to assess the condition of roofs and identify necessary repairs.
Utilize power tools and hand tools safely and effectively during roofing projects.
Collaborate with other construction professionals on-site to ensure project completion.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Assist in estimating materials needed for roofing projects and provide input on project timelines.
Must have reliable transportation and the ability to travel.
Experience
Proven experience in roofing or related construction fields is preferred.
Familiarity with various construction processes, such as laying tile, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, caulking, frame carpentry, and maintenance person tasks is beneficial.
Experience with construction estimating will be considered an asset.
Ability to work in various weather conditions while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
Strong knowledge of safety practices related to construction sites.
