We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure our multifamily apartment community is in excellent condition.
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to maintain and improve the physical condition of the apartment community. This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented professional with a commitment to delivering outstanding service to residents and ensuring the community operates efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
General Maintenance:
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and building structures.
Diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
Unit Turnovers:
Prepare apartments for new residents, including painting, repairs, and cleaning.
Ensure all units meet company standards before move-in.
Work Orders:
Respond promptly to service requests from residents.
Accurately document completed repairs and communicate updates to management.
Property Maintenance:
Maintain the exterior and interior common areas, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
Address groundskeeping needs, such as trash removal, snow removal, and landscaping upkeep.
Safety & Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and maintain compliance with local building codes and regulations.
Report safety hazards, property damage, or needed repairs to management.
On-Call Duties:
Participate in an on-call rotation to address after-hours emergencies.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in property maintenance or a related field.
Proficiency in one or more trades: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, or appliance repair.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
Certifications (Preferred but Not Required):
EPA Universal Certification for HVAC
