We’re a property management company handling rental units across the Capital Region. We’re looking for an on-call emergency tech to handle tenant issues during nights, weekends, and holidays.
This is not full-time. It’s ideal for someone who already works with us part-time—or someone experienced in home maintenance who can stay calm, communicate well, and solve problems fast (often without leaving the house).
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Answer emergency maintenance calls after-hours that HAVE BEEN SCREENED and are determined to be real issue
Troubleshoot issues over the phone or FaceTime
Walk tenants through safe, temporary solutions
Only go out when absolutely necessary (flooding, no heat, major safety issue)
Drop off or send temporary supplies if needed (space heaters, shut-off tools, etc.); can be sent via instacart, etc.
Document what you did and how it was resolved
REQUIREMENTS:
Solid repair knowledge
Calm under pressure and good with people
Reliable vehicle, smartphone, and basic tools
Must be able to write quick job summaries and send photos
Knowing our systems/properties is a big plus—we prefer to hire people already doing some regular-hour work for us
PAY STRUCTURE:
