Title: Grounds Staff
Reports to the Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent of the Greens and Grounds Operation
Basic Functions
Operation of various machines used in the maintenance of the golf course. The general up-keep of course facilities.
Ability to operate, or be trained to operate, a variety of machinery. The ability to work under supervision. Knowledge of the game of golf can be beneficial but nor necessary.
Must display professional, courteous, and ethical behavior in any personal interactions on the course, as well as representing the Club in a positive manner.
Physical Requirements
This is a physically demanding position. The inherent nature of this position requires the incumbent to perform routine activities such as digging with a shovel, pulling with a rope, climbing a ladder, using common had tools such as, rakes, hammers, knives, saws, shovels, clippers, etc… Must be able to operate in all types of weather and maintain a flexible work schedule, which includes weekends and holidays.
Scope of Responsibilities
1. Mowing of greens, tees, aprons, fairways and roughs.
2. Clean-up of the course using hand blowers, fairway blowers and sweepers.
3. Rake sand bunkers with a machine and by hand.
4. May be responsible to set-up the course for play, tee and marker positions
5. Keep equipment and maintenance facility clean as per course standards.
6. Perform other duties and tasks as assigned or as become evident.
Schedule
Full time/seasonal. Normal work week 44 hours, with start time early in the morning and work on weekends and holidays.
Part Time/seasonal. can work with some schedules on a case by case basis
