The Barnsider Restaurant in Colonie is seeking a night time kitchen manager. We have been in business over 50 years and are looking for a new manager to join our team!
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant management, with expertise in a full service, restaurant. As the Night Time Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality food preparation, assisting in managing kitchen staff, and maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen environment. Your leadership will be crucial in creating a positive dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities:
-Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
-Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
-Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed while adhering to budget constraints.
-Coordinate help for events and banquets, ensuring all details are executed flawlessly.
-Suggest cost control measures to optimize kitchen efficiency and minimize waste.
-Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards within the kitchen.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a BOH Manager or similar role within a full service restaurant.
-Strong knowledge of food management practices, including budgeting and inventory control.
-Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a diverse team.
-Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
