Job Title: Technical Project ManagerJob DescriptionThe role will interface with a cross-functional engineering and program team to develop robot hardware paired with software for integration into the overall system. You should be comfortable with a degree of ambiguity that’s higher than most projects and relish the idea of solving problems. Everyone on the team needs to be entrepreneurial, wear many hats and work in a highly collaborative environment. We’ll need to tackle problems that span a variety of domains: software, hardware, networks, etc Along the way, we guarantee that you’ll learn a ton, have fun and make a positive impact. This position requires a program management background and experience managing launch schedules. And making sure all teams are on track in a matrix environment. You will also roll up your sleeves and contribute directly. A TPM anticipates bottlenecks, uses great judgment to make trade-offs, and balances the business needs with technical constraints. Your ability to understand the big picture of the project design and anticipate and plan dependencies is crucial. Your ability to take projects, break them into manageable pieces, and deliver timely results is invaluable. You will work with a team of experts and drive the team to successfully accomplish the following activities: ● Coordinate the work with cross functional teams developing other systems as well as assembly, integration and tests. ● Develop and manage Launch checklists, and make sure teams are on track. ● Work with functional teams to drive scope and design changes by balancing short-term improvements and long-term solutions ● Create, foster and maintain effective working relationships with multi-organizational and multi-functional groups: including systems, hardware, software engineering teams and external partners ● Continuous improvement and utilization of project reporting KPIs, OKRs and milestones. ● Working knowledge of using Jira to track items. ● Own to schedule, resolve the bottlenecks and escalate as needed. We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for integrating multiple projects into a final product for a product launch, with the support of our Senior TPM. This role requires overseeing 4-5 separate projects and is an integral part of our new product development. The goal is to move our main product towards its next commercialization phase (pilot).Hard Skills
Technical Bachelor's Degree
3-5 years of experience in project management or hands-on program management
Background in development, integration, and product commercialization
Product background in electro/mechanical industries (automotive, robotics, consumer electronics, aerospace)
Cross-functional experience, particularly in software and mechanical/hardware
Able to travel a few times during a 3-month period to OR or PA
Able to support all timezones in US when needed
Can commit to contract work
Soft Skills
Strong interpersonal skills to influence others to get work done
Experience in leading a project to commercialization
