Department/Unit:Spiritual CareWork Shift:Day (United States of America)Responsible for providing spiritual and emotional support to people of faith and of no faith, including patients, their families, staff, and students throughout the institution.Hourly: $21.78 - $34.85Position summary: Responsible for providing spiritual and emotional support topeople of faith and of no faith, including patients, their families, staff, and students throughout the institution.Education: Master of Divinity, Master of Theology, Master ofPastoral Counseling or Master of Arts in Religion, or equivalent.Certification: Certification by Association of Professional Chaplains,National Association of Catholic Chaplains, National Association of Jewish Chaplains, or Certification eligible and obtain certification within two years of hire.Experience: At least four Units of Clinical Pastoral Education.Skills & Knowledge:
Ability to articulate spiritual formation
Skill in spiritual care
Knowledge of spiritual reflection tools for self and others
Responsibilities:
Participate in delivering and arranging appropriate spiritual care to patients, their families, particular faith groups, staff, students
Participate in staff meetings and d e p a r t m e n t ' s p l a n f o r c o n t i n u o u s q u a li t y i m p r o v e m e n t s
Support an interdisciplinary approach to spiritual care by participating in team meetings, rounds, and serving on institutional committees
Participate in maintenance of proper administrative procedures for the department in accordance with institutional policy
Contribute to the wider community by assisting in the coordination of clergy and spiritual visitors from religious communities
Relate to Clinical Pastoral Education Students and Medical College Students
