Description We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our team located in Albany, Oregon. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity and involves assisting with various accounting operations in an office environment. As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for project work, account reconciliation, and other accounting functions.Responsibilities: Utilize accounting software systems to process and manage financial transactions Assist with the preparation and processing of journal entries in the general ledger Undertake account reconciliation tasks to ensure accurate financial records Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and processed Provide audit assistance as needed to maintain compliance with industry standards Leverage your skills in Excel for project work and data management If required, assist with sales tax filings to ensure compliance with tax laws Regularly monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary Resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts in a timely and professional manner.Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Familiarity with Auditing processes Strong knowledge of General Ledger maintenance Ability to handle Journal Entries accurately and timely Proven experience in Account Reconciliation Relevant industry experience in Food & Food Processing is preferred Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive informationRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
