Description Local health company searching for a HR Assistant - Benefits Administrator. Must have a solid understanding of the benefits realm, have experience with Microsoft Excel and reconciliation of benefits invoicing, and well versed in Human Resources overall. This position is full time, M-F 8-5 and is a permanent opportunity. This position is paying between 45k-60k depending on experience. This self-starting Human Resources Assistant will be in charge of a number of different personnel related administrative tasks and will provide clerical support to the HR department and employees regarding human resources related activities, policies, processes, and procedures. Based in the Santo Domingo Pueblo, New Mexico area, this is a long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity.Your responsibilities in this role

Explore the internet to track down potential customers

Perform various administrative duties

Update employee database records

Partake in planning new employee orientation meetings

Requirements - Strong communication skills and able to receive criticism well

Experience handling confidential business matters and information with discretion

Experience with benefits administration

Proficiency in Human resources software

ERISA employee benefits experience highly preferred

Practical knowledge of compensation and benefits

Good understanding of Insurance Benefits

Demonstrated knowledge of benefits coordination

Adeptness in benefits analysis

Foundational knowledge in Human Resources (HR) Administration

Earlier work involving Medical Benefits

Solid understanding of HRIS

Human Resources Management System experience preferred

Background working with explanation of benefits (EOB's)

General familiarity with benefits payroll

Accomplished in office applications and software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)

Approachable and appropriate behavior when interacting with personnel at all levels in a quickly changing environment

HR related experience desired

Willing to work as part of a team or independently and have the drive to take on a variety of tasks and projects
