Lead Landscape Gardener

We're currently seeking a talented Lead Gardener to oversee our landscape gardening operations and help us create beautiful, environmentally conscious outdoor spaces.

Position: Lead Gardener, part-time with the option to move to full-time

Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise a team of gardeners in various aspects of landscaping projects, from small planting installations to maintenance and everything in between.

Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and provide expert advice on sustainable gardening practices and plant selection.

Maintain landscapes that promote biodiversity, conserve water, and minimize environmental impact.

Implement organic gardening techniques, such as composting, mulching, and natural pest control methods.

Ensure proper care and maintenance of plants, trees, and shrubs, including watering, pruning, and fertilizing.

Oversee the use of sustainable materials and equipment in landscaping projects, and promote recycling and waste reduction initiatives.

Keep track of and maintain tools and equipment

Requirements:

Proven experience in gardening and landscaping, with a strong understanding of proper planting and pruning techniques.

Leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.

Knowledge of local plant species, soil types, and climate conditions.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to track time, receipts, and various records in a clear and concise manner.
