POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We're looking for an experienced Electrical Engineering Assembler for a contract position located in Santa Fe. If your attendance and performance are good, and you know what you're doing, our client has the option to hire you permanently after 120 days, They may consider applicants from the Albuquerque area, but you must be solid on the commute to Santa Fe, and interested in permanent employment.

$30-$40/hr, if well-qualified and reliable.

Our client develops and manufactures a variety of electronic products for educational and research facilities, and corporations in the U.S. and International. You'll have the opportunity to work on various projects in a development and production environment.

OVERALL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform routine electronic assembly operations on components, printed circuit boards, and sub-assemblies in accordance with company specifications and assembly standards using visual aids and verbal and/or written instructions. Specifically, you will be:

Assembling and wiring sensors, enclosures for control panels/boxes, and cable assemblies with wire size down to 38 AWG.

Soldering components & sub-assemblies as directed to build and complete a circuit card assembly (SMT and Through-hole)

Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

WHAT YOU NEED TO PERFORM SUCCESSFULLY

The perfect fit for this position is a candidate with

Solid experience in assembly of prototype electronic devices, and is very comfortable with the production assembly of various electronic products.

Experience with cable assemblies w/wire size down to 38 AWG

Recent experience with building circuit boards with SMT and through-hole techniques

Solid soldering skills and experience with electronic components and sub-assemblies

Current or recentIPC Certifications (610 and 620) strongly preferred

Understanding and experience working from assembly drawings and component ID

Ability to work with minute parts; good vision and finger dexterity is a must

The ability and experience for forming & bending wire to specifications

You must be a U.S. Citizen for this position; able to pass drug testing, and have no felony convictions.
