Responds to client inquiries and ensures that the dealership is successful regarding sales. Must be eager to learn and able to take instruction.
Automotive Sales Consultant - Essential Duties
Communicates with clients according to their preferred method of communication; by phone, email, and in person.
Willing and able to learn new and pre-owned products and services.
Goal Oriented - Sells/leases and delivers sales above minimum required units per month.
Must be team-oriented and punctual (tardiness and absenteeism is not acceptable).
Assist customers in selecting vehicles and shepherds them through the buying process.
Both willing and able to learn the psychology of customers and help accordingly to get them to the store for proper vehicle demonstration and to close the transaction.
Checks email frequently and responds to inquiries immediately. Delivers messages intended for other departments promptly. Notify customers that their messages have been forwarded to the appropriate personnel for prompt attention.
Performs follow-up with all prospective clients
Stays current on new products, features, accessories etc., and their benefits to customers.
Attends product and sales training as requested by sales manager. Attends sales meetings.
Maintain professional appearance.
Other tasks as assigned.
