Primary Responsibilities:
Plan and create innovative concert programs and repertoire that challenge the singers and appeal to audiences.
Lead rehearsals and performances, fostering the musical growth of the singers.
Audition potential new members.
Identify and engage soloists and instrumentalists as needed.
Serve as a non-voting member of the Board Of Directors.
Participate in fundraising and publicity as needed.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in music or choral conducting preferred.
Three or more years of directing choruses. Orchestral conducting experience preferred.
In-depth knowledge of music and vocal technique.
Ability to teach and lead singers in creating expressive and impactful performances,
particularly in contemporary music. Comfortable working with a diverse group of women of all ages with varying degrees of musical knowledge, experience, and accomplishment.
