Marketing and Communications Manager

This position is responsible for the development, management and implementation of major fine art business’ marketing, communication and digital and print media programs under direction of company senior management. This includes innovating and proposing, and implementing and managing approved marketing initiatives, media strategies and use of digital assets to support overall sales volumes and increases, promotion of brand identity, the exhibitions and events to attract in-person and website visitors and art purchasers.

Focus is on creative, dynamic graphic design development and management of digital and printed content including website, email campaigns, social media posts, advertising, public relations, press releases and relationships, and key support material for sales staff in all areas of client outreach and development.

Responsible for the management of a future focused marketing program, which will include monitoring and analyzing results to provide the most effective and efficient use of marketing staff resources within budget to maximize sales.

Core responsibilities: to manage advertising, marketing and brand promotions in support of sales, audience and client development.

Strategize, innovate, analyze, develop, propose to management, and implement marketing initiatives using email marketing, digital platforms, website marketing, social media, print media, video, photo, online techniques, among other tools.

Create interesting and timely press releases and steward relationships with media regarding exhibitions and artists and other events.

Develop creative, interesting on-message content for promotional materials for use in all channels of communication and in support of sales staff presentations.

Solicit and fulfill partnerships with external constituencies and create promotional opportunities that enhance the organization’s visibility in relevant markets and communities and develop the audience base for website and in-person exhibitions and other communications

· Serve as Webmaster to ensure website includes all current and pertinent information and events. This includes web banners, artist information, art inventory, exhibitions, digital catalogs, marketing content, news and media information, and email sign-ups and information requests through the website. Promotion of gallery website to all external marketing venues is a key element. Monitor analytics to measure website traffic and efficacy.

Gather, review, and report on analytics for all activities to make recommendations and informed decisions for future directions to increase company ROI.

Qualifications We Seek:

A background in digital media and/or marketing

· Familiarity with In-Design, Constant Contact, or similar mail programs, ArtSpace (or other website platforms), and Adobe Creative Suite, CRM databases

Detail oriented, with outstanding organizational skills

Experience in social-media management

Strong marketing and written and verbal communications skills

Ambitious and self-directed working style, with strong time management and critical thinking skills

Stays calm under pressure and while juggling competing deadlines

Availability to work the occasional nights and weekends as assigned and in alignment with the company’s calendar.

B.A. in relevant field or 3+ years relevant experience

Excellent compensation and benefits commensurate with experience.
