Part time/long-term position for an experienced landscaper/Gardener

Seeking a part time/ long-term position for an experienced landscaper/gardener.

20-25 hours a week depending on level of skill set. Seasonal for 9 months, approx. mid-March through mid-November. (Additional limited winter maintenance job for 5-10 hours a week may be possible.)

Pay is based on experience and performance.

Applicants need to have experience in at least 75% of the capabilities listed below:

Ability to do some heavy lifting and work a minimum of 5 to 6 hours a day on a set schedule. General land maintenance skills such as: Cutting and clearing large debris, mowing, weed whacking, blowing, and tool maintenance. Maintaining water flow, ditches, and bridges, invasive plant removal, dump runs etc.

Tending to numerous magical flower gardens, repairing wells or rocks, feeding, deadheading, and weeding. Knowledge of native plants and how to weed and deadhead these NM plants. Ability to be responsible for watering with drip systems, timers, sprinklers, and hoses over several acres.

This is a wetland eco system, so we don’t use any toxic chemicals and choose to work with the environment in natural ways.

-You are planning to stay in Taos long term and are able to work a regular set schedule, being responsible for covering your duties in your absence, minus emergencies.

-You are hardworking, organized, efficient and can follow directions and take critique if needed.
