Caregiver/Personal care assistant needed for moderately independent stroke survivor in his home.
If you are responsible, honest, at least 21 years of age, English speaking, have reliable transportation and previous caregiving experience, this might be an ideal position for you.
The current hours required for the position are as indicated below.
There is potential for more hours and PRN.

Thursday: 5:30PM to 9:30PM
Friday: 7:30AM to 12:30PM and 6:30PM - 9:30PM
Saturday: 7:30AM to 11:30AM
Sunday: 7:30AM to 11:30AM
General duties include: assisting with activities of daily living (ADL's), food preparation, medicine dispensing, grooming and routine housekeeping duties. The household is carefully managed and runs on a predictable and easy-to-follow schedule.
Basic requirements include, but are not limited to:
The ability to speak, read and write in English (as documentation is a daily part of this job)
Being punctual and professional (limited cell phone use during working hours, please)
Ability to provide two professional references
Passing a thorough state and federal Criminal Background check and Drug Screening
Having reliable transportation and current driver's license
The physical ability to bend, stand, squat, and lift at least 40lbs
Minimum education: High school diploma or GED equivalent
1 year of relevant experience, CPR/First Aid highly desirable, and CNA experience preferred, but not required.

Starting hourly pay-rate is $12.50 per hour and is regulated by NM HCBS Waiver Program. Pay is bi-weekly.
