Hello!
We are a catering company in Taos hiring on-call Event Chefs and Prep Cooks. We are looking for more than one person to fill this position as it is a part time /seasonal offering and most candidates will have another job.
In addition to cooking onsite for weddings and retreats this person will work in the production kitchen cooking/prepping/packing out for the events. We do all that it takes to get a party on site and back, together. Because we are a small team we all do, all the things :) Chefs will be loading and unloading trucks as well as setting up on site kitchens, making staff meal, etc.
You must be able to lift 50+lbs, able to load trucks in and out of the events. We are looking for candidates that work quickly, efficiently and must have at least 2 years of actual chef experience. Experience cooking/catering for a large number of people is a bonus! These are long days, but fun :)
If you dont have the expereince in catering and want to learn, we will train you as long the willingness to learn is there.
This is a part time/seasonal employment opportunity. Events are often on the weekends and evenings. If you are familiar with this type of work and you are looking for part time work, this is for you!
Day of events, our skilled chefs receive between $30-$40 an hour. Higher if you are a lead.
Prep days are lower in pay and dependent on your skill set. Average pay is between $20-$30 an hour
