Shorty's - Tacos and Margaritas, Taos Ale House, and The Burger Stand are seeking dedicated individuals to join our teams in various front and back of house positions. With locations in Taos Ski Valley and Taos, NM, we offer opportunities for growth and advancement in the culinary and hospitality industry.

Available Positions:

Cook:

Execute culinary dishes efficiently and accurately during high-volume service periods.

Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to sanitation standards and safety regulations.

Demonstrate proficiency in mise en place, ensuring all ingredients are prepared and ready for service.

Follow prep lists and recipes meticulously to uphold consistency and quality in our offerings.

Dishwasher:

Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen utensils, dishes, pots, and pans.

Operate dishwashing equipment and maintain proper chemical concentrations for cleaning.

Assist with kitchen organization and cleanliness as needed.

Prep Cook:

Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and marinating meats.

Follow recipes and portion guidelines to prepare ingredients for cooking.

Maintain a clean and organized prep area to ensure efficiency during service.

Lead Line Cook:

Supervise and coordinate kitchen team members during service to ensure smooth operations.

Assist in training new staff members on kitchen procedures and standards.

Take inventory of supplies and communicate with management regarding ordering needs.

Host:

Welcome guests upon arrival and seat them in a timely manner, maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor.

Manage reservations and waitlists effectively to optimize table turnover.

Assist with cleaning and organizing the front of house area as needed.

Server:

Provide friendly and attentive service to guests, taking orders and delivering food and beverages promptly.

Communicate menu items, specials, and promotions to guests and answer any questions they may have.

Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure accurate and timely order delivery.

Bartender:

Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, following recipes and portion guidelines.

Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including stocking supplies and cleaning glassware.

Engage with guests, recommend drinks, and provide exceptional customer service.

Requirements:

Previous experience in the hospitality industry preferred, but not required for all positions.

Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with team members.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
