I’m a professional artist in my 40s, experiencing a set of rare chronic illnesses which require daily support. Currently, I manage a small team of caregivers/assistants, but as circumstances evolve, we are looking to hire a Lead Personal Assistant/Caregiver (LPAC) to manage my medical/administrative needs and lead our small, collaborative team with compassion and precision.
In essence, we are seeking a stage manager for life— someone who can balance multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a centered presence and diligent focus on day-to-day caregiving and life management. If you excel in organization, critical thinking, and can easily juggle and prioritize multiple tasks, this job will put your skills to meaningful use.

Responsibilities
Leadership: Facilitate the team by establishing and communicating protocols, setting priorities, delegating tasks and coordinating schedules, ensuring the team is delivering high-quality care.
Life & Project Management: Develop and manage home and office systems that prioritize efficiency, organization, security, and accuracy. Oversee and manage a variety of projects, ensuring timely coordination and completion.
Medical Management: Communicate with medical professionals, implement and maintain medical protocols, organize information and care, skillfully advocate as appropriate.
Emergency Care: Develop and update emergency care protocols; remain on-call for emergencies and available for potential medical travel and care (and delegate as needed in case of illness, vacation, etc).
Requirements
Experience: You should have leadership experience in caregiving, personal assistance, or a related field, with a proven track record of managing schedules, teams, and sensitive information.
Adaptability: You must be effective and comfortable working in a constantly changing environment, where priorities and needs shift quickly.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with office software like Microsoft Suite, QuickBooks, and Dropbox is essential. Must be skilled in using Mac computers. You should be tech-savvy and enjoy creating or improving systems.
Communication: Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
Medical & Emergency Responsiveness: You must be able to stay calm and grounded while skillfully handling stressful situations, including medical emergencies.
Logistics & Compensation
Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday, approximately 8 hours/day (exact schedule TBD). This is a salaried, exempt position.
Location: The job primarily takes place between an office space (off St. Francis/Rodeo) and my residence (near Harry’s Roadhouse).
Trial & Probationary Periods:
o There is an initial, mandatory, brief trial period paid at $30/hr
o There is also a 3-6 month long probationary period before transitioning to salaried pay upon successful completion
Compensation:
o $75,000/year (including a $10k Healthcare stipend, to be used at your discretion)
o Two weeks of paid vacation per year, and accrued sick leave
o Employees must complete a W-4 and are paid bi-weekly via ADP
Fine Print
You must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, and live locally (or relocate at your own expense)
Must be able to pass a background check and sign a nondisclosure agreement
Use of A.I. for writing materials and/or work tasks is not permitted
