This is a full time (40 hours per week), 10-month position. Qualified individuals should have early childhood classroom experience and are preferred to have attained at least an AA degree in Early Childhood Education or Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 college credit hours in Child Development.
The associate while working under the direction of the Lead Educator in a classroom of 3 year olds will be performing the following tasks:
Instructing students individually and in groups, using a variety of instructional strategies;
Adapting teaching methods and instructional materials to meet the varying needs and interests of students;
Preparing materials and classrooms for class activities;
Enforcing rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among the students for whom they are
responsible;
Attending professional meetings, educational conferences, and educator training workshops in order to
maintain and improve professional competence;
Attending all faculty meetings;
Other duties as assigned by the school administration.
Compensation for this position will be determined by years of teaching experience and the highest degree earned. Full-time positions come with full benefits including health insurance and a 403b retirement plan.
