Research submitted payroll and determine if adjustments are needed for 2k+ team members

Review and approve terminations and process final payments in accordance with state laws

Ensure accuracy of payments and deductions calculated by pay system

Update team member direct deposit accounts for ACH rejections

Change Federal and State and tax forms as received to update employee elections

Enter labor reclasses, voids, and pull backs

Run payroll reports in preparation for weekly payroll

Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and superiors

Answer questions for human resources and finance

Ensure all activities are in compliance with US laws

Oversee distribution of payroll checks

Ensure all documents are scanned into team member electronic file

Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level

Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent certificate required

Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance or related field preferred

Minimum three years’ experience in payroll or related area required

Intermediate Microsoft Office skills

Federal and State wage law knowledge required

Canadian provincial wage laws preferred

INFOR/Lawson, ADP, and Workforce Management

Teamwork, problem solving, and conflict management skills

Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills

Strong attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information ethically and responsibly

Ability to work with minimal supervision

Ability to set priorities, multitask, meet deadlines, and resolve problems with a high sense of urgency

General office work requiring sitting or standing for long periods of time
