Engineering Intern

Pay Rate: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour.Position Purpose: The ENGINEERING INTERN role within the organization will take on projects from initiation to completion during the extent of their time with the team. The successful candidate will have visibility across many functional groups (engineering, operations, maintenance, etc.) and will continuously support to optimize safety, standard operating procedures, and assist with process improvement projects.Student Exploration and Experience Development (SEED) is a 12-week internship opportunity at Veolia for students to gain hands-on experience in sustainability and ecological transformation. They will work on real-world projects, receive mentorship from industry professionals, and participate in workshops and networking events. The program aims to nurture talent, promote innovation, and foster meaningful connections between students and industry professionals. Overall, the SEED program provides students with the skills, knowledge, and connections needed to make a positive impact in the industry.Program Dates: June 2, 2025 to August 22, 2025.Internships at Veolia: Gain hands-on experience in at least one career function from Corporate, Engineering, Maintenance, Manufacturing, Operations, Sales, Supply Chain or Technology.Primary Duties/Responsibilities: Assist in reviewing and analyzing water quality data using Google Sheets and other software tools.Help maintain and update databases and spreadsheets for data storage and compliance purposes.Support tasks related to the Lead and Copper Rule, Safe Drinking Water Act compliance, and PFAS.Participate in fieldwork, including on-site inspections when appropriate.Participate in reviewing mechanical documents and equipment selections, applying standard engineering techniques.Comply with all Veolia Company and HSE procedures and policies.Internships are focused on learning and exposure to fundamental business processes and procedures.Candidates may support any of the Veolia North America business functions.Work Environment:Environments vary by internship function from office to field to plant.Our aim is to provide tangible industry job experience to each intern.While we may extend offers to some interns, there is no guarantee of a job offer at the end of the internship.
