Principal Dam Embankment Engineer

With major investment in dam infrastructure and long-term partnerships with Dam owners nationwide, we offer an unparalleled opportunity to work on complex and high-impact projects across the country.As part of our industry leading Dams team, you’ll contribute to feasibility studies, design, construction, and asset management, collaborating with specialists nationally and internationally to develop sustainable water solutions and mentor the next generation of engineers.With AECOM’s flexibility, base yourself in either our Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Newcastle, Sydney, Perth or Melbourne offices.What a day in this role could involve:Geotechnical and embankment dam engineering.Inspection and condition assessment of existing dams.Scoping and undertaking geotechnical investigations, including interpretation of foundation conditions and characterising the engineering properties of foundation and construction materials.Construction support services including inspection of works, evaluation of quality control and quality assurance data and construction reporting.Preparation of tenders and proposals & providing mentoring.
