What You Will DoWork Control is a multidisciplinary group, providing deployed support to all Facility Operations Directorates (FODs) for maintenance planning, scheduling, and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) support. The MSS-Work Control group uses Integrated Work Management to plan, schedule, and perform work in a safe and secure manner.The Maintenance Support Specialist (MSS) reports to the deployed Work Control Team Leader. This position develops, monitors, and validates the accuracy and auditing of performance data, reports, and other statistical information, and supports the development and implementation of Standardized Preventative Maintenance plans and routines in line with company policy, procedures, engineering guidelines and maintenance strategy.The successful candidate will be expected to:
Develop an understanding of governmental regulations and Laboratory policies impacting the maintenance program to ensure compliance.
Assist with gathering information necessary to develop, monitor and validate accuracy, and auditing performance data, reports, and other statistical information to ensure compliance with safety, quality, budget and schedule.
Provide administrative support in maintaining a database and other programs as required for use in development of performance measurements and other status reports.
Assist with evaluating, processes, programs, and procedures for potential improvements.
Under direct supervision, provide general issues management support, assist in reviews and compile data, and support management assessment activities.
Assist with training facility maintenance personnel on maintenance program.
Develop an understanding of related documentation systems and ensures compliance with all applicable document control and records management activities and security/compliance implications.
Assist with performing periodic reviews and assessments to ensure maintenance programs are implemented.
Understand and adhere to all Laboratory and industry regulatory guidance and governance specific to maintenance and quality assurance programs.
What You NeedMinimum Job Requirements:Communication: Ability to conceptualize and fully communicate major elements of processes supporting the maintenance program to both technical and non-technical personnel. Demonstrated ability to work independently.Business Processes & Systems: Basic knowledge of and experience with policy and strategy performance assurance, metrics, including policy and procedure development, implementation, and enforcement. Full knowledge of and experience with document control and records management. Clear understanding of work hazards, safety practice policies and procedures.Technical Competency: Knowledge and experience in conducting research, investigating alternative solutions, and recommending solutions on problems affecting facility maintenance and performance assurance; demonstrated ability to prepare and present reports.Education/Experience: Position requires a minimum of 2 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Desired Qualifications:
Direct experience performing work using any computerized LANL facility management tools that may include Footprints, Asset Suite, EDRMS, etc.
Working knowledge of the Laboratory's quality assurance policies, practices, and procedures, the legal requirements and environmental impacts affecting maintenance management.
Active Q clearance.
Mobile Work Package experience.
