Are you a shopper type who knows the value of things? Are you curious about items you may have never seen before?
We are an established estate and liquidation company looking to expand in New Mexico. You will be required to assist in moving, staging, pricing and selling items at estate sales. You must be able to lift 25 pounds. You must be able to work on Fridays and Saturdays and perhaps the occasional Sundays for sales. Staging is done Monday-Thursday. We often start early 7-7:30 and end our day by 3 or so, but you may not work a full 8 hour day. Sale days are generally 5-6 hours. Estimated 20-24 hours per week depending upon our load. You may be called upon to come in at the last moment, so some flexibility is required. This work will be primarily in the Las Cruces area.
Previous experience in this type of sales will be helpful. We deal with other people's prized possessions in their homes every day. Our clients expect us to act professionally when working with them. You must be friendly, honest, trustworthy, have basic math skills, be able to work with computers and consent to a background and credit check. These checks are required for us to maintain our financial surety bonds.
Every day is an adventure as we never know what we may find. A curiosity about things you don't recognize and an ability to look them up and assign a value is part of what we do. Need to be able to discern between junk and "junque".
