The Raytheon is seeking a Mission Scheduling Test Engineer responsible to the Raytheon Program Manager and will work in collaboration with the local Raytheon Site Lead and deputy site lead for the overall performance. This position will test software from factory vendors before transitioning to operational use. The Test Engineer will work with the operations team to ensure they are trained on new software capabilities. Additionally, this position will help with 24/7 shift coverage and anomaly response. The test engineer is considered the most knowledgeable person on the various mission systems the operations team uses. Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico What You Will Do

Implement scheduling and timeline requests for multiple users.

Work with external organizations to support test and operations events .

Subject matter expert on operational systems to provide technical support to the operations team.

Test software delivered by factories before promoted to operational use, this includes new capability, day-in-the-life, and regression testing.

Work with software factory on coordinating discrepancy fixes.

Assist user with troubleshooting and isolating problems related to software.

Use monitoring tools to pinpoint where software issues may reside.

Work collaboratively in team environment and customer community .

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience.

Experience in software testing.

Experience with multiple software testing strategies.

Experience in presentation, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

Experience performing work without appreciable direction.

Experience in operations and maintenance organizations.

An active and transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

Program management certification/experience

Familiar with the Customers at the Las Cruces customer facility

Software trouble shooting experience.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
