Responsible for conducting structured interviews with patients or family members in order to obtain information required to assist patient with their financial liability to include possible assistance with the County Indigent Program and/or MMC’s Community Benefits Program. Responsible for securing payments and/or arrangements on patient financial liability. Responds to all inquiries from patient’s and/or guarantors regarding their account balances and/or estimates.Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED.Minimum Experience: One (1) year experience in a hospital business setting. Collection experience preferred. Typing ability, knowledge of Medical Terminology and Insurance. PC experience with Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.
