Job SummaryJob DescriptionDelaware Basin OverviewSpanning West Texas through Southeast New Mexico, ConocoPhillips holds approximately 709,000 total net acres in the Delaware Basin, which includes approximately 699,000 unconventional net acres. ConocoPhillips began exploring and appraising the basin’s stacked pay potential in 2012 and has gained extensive technical expertise to optimize development. Entering 2023, the company now operates over 2,800 wells throughout the Basin.In 2022, the company operated an average of 10 drilling rigs, including one electric rig, and 153 new operated wells were brought online. Net production in 2022 averaged 321 MBOED.DescriptionIf you are selected as the Delaware Measurement Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that contract obligations and lease agreements are aligned with in regards to metering, testing, calibration and sampling in accordance with ConocoPhillips Measurement Policies and Procedures. The Measurement Technician performs most of their responsibilities at the central tank battery locations and associated well sites.This is a Safety Sensitive position.Responsibilities may include:

Monitoring work activities to ensure they are being performed in a safe and efficient manner

Ensuring compliance with all contract obligations and lease agreements with regards to metering, testing, calibration and sampling in accordance with ConocoPhillips Policies and Procedures

Being an active member in the ConocoPhillips Measurement Council

Completing all work in compliance with company and applicable environmental, regulatory and safety policies

Coordinating with Engineering and Operations to achieve established objectives and to minimize interruptions to operations

Being the site point of contact (SPOC) for the ConocoPhillips Editing Group

Supporting implementation of Health, Safety, & Environmental (HSE) Management System, SAP-PM and PS

Reviewing invoices and verifying billing, expenditures and cost-control on assigned projects

Training and/or auditing on ConocoPhillips policies and procedures

On a limited basis, provide onsite supervision and coordination of measurement testing of company owned meters and witnessing of third-party meters in the operations area

Operating a company-provided vehicle to perform job duties

Regulatory work including agency testing requirements, Change of Status, Tank & Meter Numbering for new facilities

Enforce all safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures outlined in the ConocoPhillips Management System

Train other technicians in various audit channel functions as required

Basic/Required:

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer

Valid/Current Driver's License

1+ years of experience with detailed routine calibrations, troubleshooting, repair, installation of electronic, and electrical/pneumatic equipment

Willing and able to perform/align with following (with or without reasonable accommodation): Work in temperature extremes or adverse weather conditions, Work in several different geographic locations every single day, Work both in and out of a company-owned vehicle, Wear appropriate special safety equipment, Walk, bend, stoop, lift, push, and pull, Use hand tools to make minor repairs, Work weekends as requested

Preferred:

Associate's degree/technical certification or higher in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electrical Technology or foreign equivalent

3+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry

1+ years of experience working with one or more of the following specifications in the installation and maintenance of meter stations -AGA - America Gas Association, API – American Petroleum Institute, GPA - Gas Processing Association

Proficient with Fisher ROC and Total Flow

Proficient (ability to perform the skill with limited assistance) with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and SAP

Working knowledge of AGA–3 1985 &1992 Standards, API 14.3, and GPA 2166-86.

Experience in performing system balance function

Experience in working with Field Data Management (FDM) System

Familiar with PD Meters

Familiar with Coriolis meters

Ability to utilize laptop PC and applicable software programs

Ability to prepare accurate and legible reports

Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions

Ability to work in a proactive manner

Demonstrated Safety Leadership

Extensive planning & organizational skills

Effective oral & written communication skills

Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments by holding others accountable and standing up for what is right

Delivers positive results through realistic planning to accomplish goals

Builds effective solutions based on available information and makes timely decisions that are safe and ethical
