The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services, Research Center or BBN team: Summary of Role: We are seeking a highly-motivated specialist to be part of the General Accounting team within the Raytheon Technologies’ Enterprise Services – Controllership and Compliance organization in Farmington, CT. Primary Responsibilities · This person will perform the following primary responsibilities. · Monthly journal entries, closing activities and account reconciliations related to various Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, and Corporate Raytheon accounts. · Corporate expense allocations and charges including but not limited to: education charges, insurance, workers’ compensation, payroll allocations, stock options, taxes, professional fees, technology fees, etc. · General ledger closing activities including: · SAP ERP system closing steps & loading ledger data to HFM · Chart of accounts maintenance · SAP to HFM tie outs & mapping · Participate in process improvement activities related to all central accounting functions as required, i.e., journal entry automation, support finance transformation, other automation efforts. · Contribute to General Accounting by bringing innovative solutions within the knowledge base and work of the department. · Provide excellent customer service to Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, and Corporate including answering questions or ad hoc requests as required Required Qualifications · Familiarity with US GAAP Accounting · Ability to obtain Raytheon sponsored security clearance · Proven verbal and written communication skills, good business acumen and ability to brief levels of management · Strong proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and database reporting skills · Analytical, planning and organizational skills to problem solve and recommend comprehensive solutions · Ability to work independently as well as in a team · Excellent teambuilding and interpersonal skills · Proven experience in a fast paced, deadline driven environment · Ability to maintain a service-oriented demeanor with professionalism in sensitive and challenging situations Preferred Qualifications · Knowledge of or experience with current finance and accounting systems and month end close procedures · Experience in SAP and/or HFM is a plus · CPA/MBA is a plus · Experience and Education · Required Education/ Experience · This role typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 year’s experience Work Authorization Status: · Must be a U.S. Citizen. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
