Description:Our organization, one of the top healthcare facilities in Connecticut, is seeking a full time, Medical Biller who is looking to grow in their career! This individual will be detail-oriented, take initiative, is a skilled problem solver, self-directed and able to work independently, has a positive and cooperative work ethic. If this sounds like you, we want you to join our team!This is an on-site position, located in Farmington, CT.Shift: Mon - Fri first shift no nights or weekends!Responsibilities of this role include
Performs financial investigations to determine debtors ability to pay; sets up payment plans
Performs phone collections to various sources; performs mail collections by using a prescribed set of dunning and/or specialized correspondence
Recommends rebilling to third parties if appropriate; refers accounts to outside collection agencies
Follows through with wage executions/property liens; recommends referrals to small claims court
Enters claims into small claims court
May represent the Health Center in court
May act as liaison between patient services and attorney generals offic
Completes all forms/documents relating to legal action; may write remittances
Prepares summary reports on attorney referral accounts; does batching, write-offs.
