Job Description
As a Manager, Client Technology Services, you will be responsible for managing the technical group while ensuring all business standards and service levels are met. You will play a key leadership role in the organization, driving strategies and business practices that lead to results and support the client's roadmap and ITWorks organization imperatives as they relate to technology. You will contribute to the vision, strategy, planning, evaluation, design, development and implementation of technologies across clients that incorporate the site's mission and vision as well as participate the completion of annual financial planning, and technology as well as security infrastructure assessments for the client. Your responsibilities will also include supporting the development of process improvements and evolution of the overall Cerner technology vision and strategy, in addition to managing the delivery of services and technology to clients and ensure that the client and business standards are achieved. You will also be responsible for contributing to the development of the overall solution roadmap, develop and implement operating procedures, and direct the study, design and implementation of new systems and equipment. This also includes ensuring infrastructure architecture meets standards, maximizes efficiency, and supports platform compatibility as well as identify cross-functional impacts and areas of potential risk management. Finally, you will have ownership and accountability for delivering organizational objectives that cascade from corporate and client imperatives.You will have direct line management responsibility for the technical department and the associates in it. This will include networking, system administration, workstation, asset management, and desktop architecture. It may also include associate in operational roles, like finance, process architecture, administration.You will also have indirect management responsibility for associates and their deliverables that are part of our leveraged teams that support our network and server and desktop environments.Your people management responsibilities will include seeking to understand disagreements, ensure all perspectives are heard and facilitate a plan for resolution. You will delegate the work appropriately, provide clear expectations and follow up to ensure progress and overcome roadblocks as well as identify associates and team priorities based on business direction and adjust when needed. In addition, you will lead by example and share knowledge and experiences with associates and team, creating a respectful work environment where you advocate for your team, create accountability and ownership and recognize their accomplishments. Finally, it is your responsibility to provide timely feedback to encourage success, ensure accountability, and connect opportunities for your associates' development as well as identify the right talent to achieve the desired results, promoting and building a diverse cohesive team to accomplish objectives and align associates' skills to fill gaps.Qualifications Basic QualificationsAt least 8 years total combined higher education and related work experience, including:- At least 2 years of client relationship management, healthcare information technology (HCIT) consulting and/or other client-facing work experience
- At least 6 years of higher education and/or additional work experience directly relate to the duties of the job
- Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
- At least 2 years of people management, matrix management, project management or other indirect leadership work experience
- At least 5 years of people management work experience
- At least 5 years managing multiple technology upgrades, replacements and implementations
- At least 3 years experience working with Cisco, Microsoft 365, VMWare, vSphere, VMware Horizon View, Imprivata SSO, and Cisco VoIP,
- At least 3 years experience supporting applications infrastructure
- At least 3 years experience supporting a large enterprise infrastructure
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Farmington, NM area
- Willing to travel up to 20% as needed
- Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
- Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
