Maintenance Site Services Deputy ManagerDepartment:MU-MA Site SrvcsLocation:Carlsbad, NMBe part of the nation-s only repository for the disposal of nuclear waste known as Transuranic (TRU) waste.Salado Isolation Mining Contractors (SIMCO), an LLC of Bechtel, managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as Maintenance Site Services Deputy Manager and join our team located in Carlsbad, NM. The successful candidate will support oversight and supervision the Maintenance STR and the Plant Helper group, help manage all maintenance site service contracts, review work control documents, respond to technical request from Subcontractors and ensure responses are complete, timely, and comply, with subcontract requirements, field oversight while work is being performed, planning of new SOWs for expiring contracts, determining scope of work, and needed requirements, coordinate support with other site departments, oversee group budget, and all other activities required to support safe and compliant execution for construction and site service activities. Must have strong communication skills, proven ability to form and lead teams of diverse technical backgrounds, conduct assessments, and all other activities needed for safe compliant operation of the group. The candidate must have clear understanding of safety requirements that pertain to maintenance/construction activities. The candidate must be a self-starter and motivated to execute assigned work activities. Bachelor-s Degree with two (2) years of working experience, or
Associate-s Degree and six (6) years of working experience, or
High School Diploma with ten (10) years of working experience is required.
Must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.Preferred Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
Operations or Maintenance experience within the DOE complex or commercial nuclear industry.
Minimum requirements plus five (5) years of previous experience working at a nuclear and/or DOE facility.
Oracle PeopleSoft experience (IFMS)
