Locally owned family business providing sheet metal fabrication, is seeking a Sheet Metal Worker. This is an entry level/trainee position. Sheet Metal Worker will learn this position with complete supervision. They are primarily responsible for efficiently performing manual bending, shearing, and roll forming. as well as manually operate various equipment. We are looking for someone who has the ability to work under pressure, possess good time management, self-motivation and conflict resolution. The ability to adapt to every situation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to)
Set up and operate brake machinery to bend, shape, and form metal components according to specifications for manufacturing various sheet metal products, and specialty items.
Measuring, marking and laying out sheets of metal for specific jobs
Operating various computerized tools that bends and precisely cut, the metal sheets to produce the correct items for orders while standing in an upright position for extended periods of time and moving about on foot.
Understand what has priority in daily the production workflow and are quick to complete all assigned tasks while meeting production.
Regularly stepping up to help co-workers be successful as a production team.
Have a great understanding of the machinery that you run.
Use your basic math and computer skills to make sure equipment is set correctly and you assist co-workers when needed.
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs properly without difficulty
Constantly work safely and comply with all safety regulations.
Will be trained to use forklift to transport heavy weight metal coils.
Willingness to participate daily in shop cleaning responsibilities.
