What You'll Do
As a Project Manager, your mission will be to serve our existing and potential clients by understanding their unique construction needs and ensuring that we meet those needs efficiently and effectively. You'll take the lead in maintaining client relationships, project oversight, and supervising direct reports to guarantee the highest standards of quality workmanship, profitability, quality, safety, schedule, and regulatory compliance.
Your Responsibilities
Client Service: You'll be the face of FacilityBUILD for our clients, providing personalized service that exceeds their expectations. By understanding their facility needs and culture, you'll ensure that they receive exceptional construction management solutions.
Project Estimating: You'll work with architects and in-house design staff to meticulously review proposal specifications, drawings, and site visits to prepare comprehensive cost estimates and proposals using our Bidmaster. Your experience in reading plans, historical job cost data and efficient subcontractor and supplier selection will contribute to consistently well-priced estimates.
Project Management: As a hands-on leader, you'll oversee all aspects of construction projects, liaising with clients, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers. Your top priority will be to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, with top-notch workmanship, and in compliance with all regulations and standards.
What Sets You Apart
Experience: With a minimum of 5 years of experience in construction trades, you have a solid foundation to excel in this role.
Education: You've completed a 2-year higher education program and ideally possess a construction project management certification from a reputable trade organization or vocational college. We know that hands on experience is sometimes the best education so if you have a proposal of successful projects in your arsenal, we will consider this in lieu of education
Technical Skills: Your proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project Management Software, and internet/e-mail usage equips you with the necessary tools for efficient project management.
People Skills: Your excellent verbal/written communication and client relationship-building abilities will make you a key asset in nurturing lasting partnerships.
