Are you an experienced truck and trailer mechanic looking for a mobile position? We are seeking a skilled and reliable mobile mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on class 8 trucks and trailers. The majority of the work (approximately 90%) will be performed outdoors, so the ideal candidate should be comfortable working in various weather conditions.
To be considered for this position, you must have at least three years of verifiable experience working on class 8 trucks and trailers. Proficiency in preventative maintenance (PM), brake work, wheel seal replacement, and general hub and drivetrain repairs is essential. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and does not require extensive training. In addition to technical skills, candidates must be available to work at least one weekend day per week. We provide a company service truck equipped with specialized shop equipment. However, candidates are required to have their own hand tools (up to 3/4" drive sockets, impacts, and wrenches) as well as basic specialty tools such as torque wrenches, dial indicators, multimeters, and general electrical testing equipment.
This is a 1099 position, and pay will be commensurate with experience. Aflac insurance coverage is provided after 90 days of employment. All candidates must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and a criminal background check. A valid New Mexico driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR) is also required.
