Northridge Electric a Division of Burgos Group is seeking full-time experienced Fire Alarm Technicians to provide electrical services with specific responsibilities for installing, repairing and/or replacing fire alarm systems and related equipment.
Responsibilities:
Analyze blueprints, schematics, and drawings of fire alarm and/or other related electrical system to determine the efficient installation of new or upgraded systems;
Coordinate with assigned Foreman and/or other trades for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently;
Diagnose causes of electrical problems or failures in assigned systems;
Inspect electrical/fire alarm systems and their components;
Install electrical system components;
Maintain vehicle, tools and test equipment;
Prepare written materials to document activities;
Respond to emergency situations during and after hours as assigned.
Qualifications Include:
High School Diploma or GED;
Two (2) years of previous electrical experience;
Positively identify colors of wires;
Comprehend drawing and read blueprints and schematics;
Ability to use power and hand tools;
Working knowledge of applicable electrical and design codes;
Ability to define problems collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions;
Good communication, both oral and written, skills;
Valid Drivers License;
Ability to perform services throughout the state of New Mexico, including possible overnight travel;
Awareness of operational safety requirements in work environment and ability to apply and follow procedures and requirements per regulations;
Must be customer-service driven.
