Sales Associate & Inventory Manager (SAIM) –Seeking candidates with heavy
equipment service and parts knowledge. Must be organized and willing to find answers
that are not immediately apparent. Looking for someone who can interact with
customers and coworkers in a positive and helpful manner as a member of team.
Job description:
The SAIM will be responsible for managing inventory orders, levels, and assisting
customers and the Sales Director with specialty items and non-inventory parts orders. In
addition, the SAIM is an inside sales position and shall be responsible for receiving
customer calls and walk-ins. This position will work to achieve sales and profit goals my
maintaining inventory levels, sourcing parts at competitive prices, and assisting with
sales.
Responsibilities:
The position will involve but not be limited to the following duties:
Receive parts shipments; document and match to purchase orders
Maintain accurate counts of inventory items;
Assist in stocking items and creating systems for quickly locating parts
Create parts profiles, update parts numbers, costs, pricing, and pictures
Sourcing parts from multiple vendors, comparing pricing and timetables
Analyze sales reports to create forecasts of needed part levels
Monitor sales dept. email and assist the Sales Director with creating quotes,
parts availability, sourcing, invoicing, arranging delivery, and customer service
Answer sales calls and receive walk in customers to help them with their needs
Process work orders, purchase orders, and other documentation
Assemble and inspect outbound parts orders for delivery
Maintain customer profiles including pricing, equipment lists, and contact
information
Performs other duties as assigned.
Benefits: base salary plus commission,
HMO/PPO medical (50% employer paid), dental, and vision plan (optional employee paid),

Job Requirements:
2+ years experience is highly preferred in heavy equipment industry
Previous experience with heavy equipment part sales preferred.
Prior sales knowledge and ability to prepare quotes.
Must know how to use online parts catalogs/manuals and navigate to find parts
breakdowns.
Ability to problem solve and provide unique solutions for customers/projects.
Highly organized, logical individual with the capacity to work with alphanumeric
parts numbers and dimensions
Effective communication and strong computer skills are required for this role.
Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, listening and
presentation skills.
Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance, lift or move to 50 pounds.
Basic knowledge on engine, hydraulic, and electric systems, and fleet
maintenance.
Team player with high customer service focus.
A good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, QuickBooks and a basic ability to
operate industry specific PC programs.
