Management is currently looking for an Experienced Assistant Property Manager for our small Apartment Community located in the NE Heights. The desired applicants will possess excellent customer service skills, excellent organizational skills, and excellent attention to detail. Ideal candidates should have three years of experience in property management and leasing. Should have a general understanding of business principles and be financially savvy. Must also have excellent customer service skills, be able to multi-task and show leadership skills. We offer competitive pay , as well as opportunity for advancement. We require a background and drug screen as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities:

Must be able to work directly under the owner

Must be able to stand up, receive visitors graciously; tour and lease apartments.

Prepare bank deposits.

Schedules necessary work orders for repairs. and make-ready activities.

Answer telephone and provide customers with leasing information and address resident issues/questions.

Work on collecting "bad debt" prior to being written off.

Assist with rent collections striving for zero delinquencies each month.

Assist in other rental and administrative duties as required by the property Manager.

Pre-processes payment of invoices for Community Manager's approval.

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to relate to others.

Ability to cope with and defuse situations involving angry or difficult people.

Assist the Manager with accounts payable, maintain, and update vendor list and files.

Ability to use a personal computer and has working knowledge of email, Microsoft Word and Excel, and other accounting software.

Accept and post rent payments, and keep accurate billing information and prepare bank deposits.

Communicate effectively by telephone, in person, and in writing.

Responsible for shopping competitive properties.

Professional verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to walk to show vacant apartments throughout the whole complex and be able to walk upstairs multiple times a day in all types of weather conditions.

Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time.

Valid Drivers license and insurance required.

Background screening is required.

Pay is based on experience
