Seeking a reliable individual to work at one of our premier clients. Proficient in managing, negotiating, purchasing property and acquiring ROW for electric distribution and transmission power lines. Customer and potential cold calls. Must have an excellent working knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and Word. Candidate should have real estate, title, or utility experience. Attention to detail is critical for this positions. The position requires fast and very accurate data entry. Individual must be of the highest integrity as you will be working with confidential information.

Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test

SUMMARY:

Under direct supervision, negotiates, obtains, and preserves right of way (ROW) and other property rights from public and private entities to allow for the installation and location of distribution, transmission, and gathering facilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages thorough and accurate title and property searches.

Manages productive negotiations internally with associates and externally with customers and governmental agencies.

Produces and obtains high quality easements, ROW documents, letters, and other written materials.

Interprets and assists in the production of engineering surveys and legal documents related to ROW acquisition.

COMPETENCIES:

Ability to work on moderately complex activities with limited discretion.

Extensive knowledge of industry, standards, rules, and regulations governing the utility industry.

Ability to synthesize complex or diverse information.

Ability to gather and analyze information skillfully.

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university with two to four years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the discipline.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Must possess a current, legally valid driver's license and meet the company's driving record requirements.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

ANALYSIS AND PROBLEM-SOLVING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and sit up to 2/3 of the time. Manual dexterity required, good vision, and the ability to talk and listen. Ability to stoop, kneel crouch, crawl, climb, and balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions when working in the field.

Field/Office environment.
