Test Technician

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Test Technician to support product testing, troubleshooting, and validation activities in a fast-paced engineering or manufacturing environment. The role involves hands-on testing of components and assemblies to ensure they meet quality and performance standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable with technical equipment, and works well both independently and in a team setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform Electrical/Mechanical Testing:

Conduct tests on components, subassemblies, and final products using standard and specialized equipment.

Set Up and Operate Test Equipment:

Configure test setups according to test plans, schematics, or technical drawings. Use oscilloscopes, multimeters, environmental chambers, vibration systems, etc.

Data Collection and Reporting:

Accurately record test data, document findings, and communicate results to engineering or quality teams.

Troubleshooting and Failure Analysis:

Identify and report anomalies. Assist in root cause analysis for test failures.

Maintain Test Equipment:

Perform basic calibration checks and routine maintenance of testing instruments.

Support Continuous Improvement:

Recommend process or fixture improvements to enhance test efficiency, accuracy, or safety.

Compliance and Safety:

Follow all company safety procedures and adhere to industry standards such as IPC, ISO, or MIL-STD protocols where applicable.

Qualifications:

Education:

Two year Associate/Certificate or higher in Electronics is desired or 5+ years related test experience or related field. Equivalent military or technical training accepted.

Experience:

1–3 years in a testing, QA/QC, or technician role preferred. Entry-level candidates with strong technical aptitude will be considered.

Skills:

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, test plans, and schematics.

Proficient with measurement instruments (oscilloscope, DMM, calipers, etc.).

Comfortable working with computers and test software like LabVIEW for data logging.

Basic soldering or rework skills (IPC certification is a plus).

Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.

This position may require exposure to information which is subject to US export control regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of U.S. regulations.

Work Environment:

Hands-on lab or production floor environment.

May involve occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.

Use of PPE where required.
