POSITION DESCRIPTION:
We're looking for an experienced Facilities Engineering Technician for a contract position located in Santa Fe. If your attendance and performance are good, and you know what you're doing, our client has the option to hire you permanently after 120 days,
They will consider applicants from the Albuquerque area, but you must be solid on the commute to Santa Fe.
Our client develops and manufactures a variety of electronic products for educational and research facilities, and corporations in the U.S. and International. You'll have the opportunity to work on various projects in a development and production environment.
You must be a U.S. Citizen for this position; able to pass drug testing, and have no felony convictions.
Anticipate rate to be $25 - $30+ per hour.
OVERALL DUTIES /RESPONSIBILITIES / SKILLS:
Maintenance and repair of facilities equipment and high vacuum equipment
Working with high vacuum systems and components is essential
Troubleshoot electromechanical equipment faults and repair as necessary
Do minor electrical wiring and plumbing
Experience using shop tools (drill press, band saw, lathe, end mill)
Experience doing mechanical soldering and welding strongly preferred.
