Job Description: This job will require physical labor including lifting heavy loads (up to 501bs), packing and moving supplies, and standing for long periods of time. The Mailing Staff will support, prepare, and send out election mailings including state notices, application letters, absentee ballots, and more. The Mailing Staff will have several duties, outlined below. Staff may also be asked to complete other miscellaneous tasks as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
General warehouse support such as trash removal, shredding, sweeping, and staging boxes of mailing supplies.
Load correct paper into printers.
Update Job Tracking software by scanning trays of printed, folded, or inserted materials at JobTracker scanning stations.
Learn and operate machines, loading paper correctly, maintaining order, and quality checking all materials.
Ensure that different clients' materials do not get mixed.
Assist inserter-operator by opening and staging materials for insertion, with good attention to detail.
Offload and sort completed mail pieces into mailing trays.
Verify maili ngs, ensuring no pieces are missing and each packet contains the correc t components .
Assemble mailing packets by hand if needed.
Assist in preparing mailings for transport to the post office.
Any other tasks needed by staff.
Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to S0lbs independently.
Must be able to work on their feet for full workdays.
Must follow instructions well.
Must have good attention to detail.
Must communicate well with team members.
