We are looking for a healthy, hardworking individual to work 1-2 days per week - 8/hours/day (or 2-4 half day shifts) to assist with general farm upkeep - gardening, mowing, harvesting, weeding, pruning, chipping, fixing fences and shade structures over plants, hauling things to dump (our truck). Must: show up on time and do what you are asked to do and agree you will do; be legal to work in the US; not be encumbered by pets and other personal issues that keep you from working consistently; speak English sufficiently well to understand what is asked of you and communicate what you need to support you. We won't tolerate drug or alcohol use while at work or showing up hungover. We also won't agree to you bringing friends to assist who are people unknown to us.
Our farm/community is an intentional, extended family community and we work to be safe, healthy and focused on good things. We are flexible on which days you work but it must be consistent and not all over the board so that we can plan for the work you will do and mobilize what is needed to support that work on that schedule. You must have some experience in this kind of work so that you can tell a weed from garden plants we will harvest food from.
There are no accommodations offered nor benefits such as health or retirement
This is not a job someone can "exist" on; it is more like part-time supplemental work that you would do to fill in around another part-time or full-time job or you are a student at CNM/UNM and need extra . We are looking for someone who will be with us for a year or more. And, we are willing to increase the hourly rate if someone is worth it.
Please, send an email inquiry if you are interested. No calls or texts, pls.
