Day Porter/Warehouse/Delivery
Role Summary:
Responsible for performing a variety of janitorial and some light maintenance duties, ranging from routine cleaning, to carpet extraction, spill clean-up, coverage for Day Porters/Custodians, Warehouse cleaning/organization, and delivery activities at main office and our customers facilities (healthcare facilities, school building(s), offices, banks and like).
Job Duties:
Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming of floors.
Cleaning toilets, sinks, urinals.
Collecting and removing trash.
Dusting, cleaning glass, drinking fountains, spot cleaning.
Re-stocking supplies in restrooms/offices/etc.
Operate equipment: vacuums, mops and other equipment as assigned.
Receive & unload incoming product while inspecting product for damages, loss or defects, and confirm accuracy of orders.
Deliver paper products and other supplies to customer locations.
Assemble & prepare product for customer deliveries & location transfers
Reports issues at jobsites, including safety, sanitary and fire hazards to manager.
Follow instructions and set guidelines for the job.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate department
Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols
Skills and Experience:
Previous experience in commercial/industrial cleaning and floor care preferred.
Knowledge of custodial practices and procedures.
Familiarity with buffing machines and other cleaning equipment is a plus
Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
Attention to detail and time management skills to complete jobs within budgeted time periods.
ACTIVE JOB includes frequent walking, bending, lifting and moving.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on occasion.
Good communication skills in order to communicate with customers when performing work in their buildings or delivering supplies.
Conditions:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Be able to speak and understand English (English does not need to be first language).
Reliable transportation to work.
Valid IDs and/or work authorizations.
Clean driving record.
Drug screening to start position.
Compensation & Benefits:
$15.00 per hour upon start, after 30 day probationary period, increase to $16.00 per hour.
Week vacation accrued upon start.
Sick leave accrued upon start.
