Position Overview:
A Kitchen Team Member at Bright Minds Pre School is a vital role in providing fresh, delicious food to our students. This position involves working in a self-paced environment where, attention to detail, and a passion for cooking are essential. We are only a warming kitchen so being creative with the menu is critical.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook Breakfast, lunch and snack for all students, in accordance with Federal and State quality standards.
Ensure all food preparation areas are clean and comply with health and safety regulations.
Maintain an organized and efficient workspace during service.
Handle and store food products safely and correctly, following proper food handling guidelines.
Collaborate with the Director to ensure all meals are completed accurately and on time.
Assist in maintaining inventory by notifying management of low-stock items.
Participate in daily opening and closing duties, including cleaning equipment and kitchen areas.
Experience:
Previous kitchen or cafeteria experience preferred, especially in a school.
Skills:
-Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
-Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure.
-Clear communication and teamwork abilities.
Physical Requirements:
-Ability to stand, walk, and work for long periods.
-Ability to lift up to 20 pounds as needed.
-Comfortable working in a fast-paced and hot kitchen environment.
